The old window frames, layered with marks of paint, resemble weathered picture frames. Within these frames, withered leaves appear like paintings—sometimes vivid, sometimes hazy. The rectangular glass panes fragment the once-whole interior into multiple distinct scenes. This segmentation is a result of the photographer’s gaze, yet it is more than just a subjective perception; it is a physical reality that manifests before our eyes.

낡고 오래된 창틀은 여러 번 덧입힌 페인트 자국이 남아 있다. 창틀이 아니라 낡은 그림틀 같다. 그 틀 속에 남아 있는 그림처럼 때로 선명하게 때로 희미하게 말라버린 잎들이 드러난다. 직사각형으로 나뉜 유리창은 실내의 정경을 여러 개의 장면으로 나누어 보게 한다. 온전한 것이 분절되어 보이는 것이다. 찍는 이의 시선이 창 안을 분절시킨 것이지만 보는 이의 눈으로가 아니라 실제로 보인다는 점이다.
