건축적인 시각으로 도시의 지층과 풍경을 포착하여 일상의 기억을 기록하는 사진가이자 연구자이다. 부산을 거점으로, 급격하게 변화하는 도시의 모습과 시간의 흔적을 담담한 시선으로 풀어내며 공간과 기억이 서로 얽히는 방식을 시각적으로 탐구하고 있다. 특정 지역의 기록을 넘어 근대화 과정에서 사라져가는 도시의 흔적과 그 속의 공동체에 대한 보편적인 질문을 던지는 작업을 하고 있다. 부산 비엔날레에 두 차례(2012, 2022) 참여하였으며, 현재 시각예술과 도시 담론을 다루는 출판사 ‘비온후’의 공동대표로서 도시의 '시각적 전기'를 기록하는 작업을 지속하고 있다.

Inmi Lee is a photographer and urban archive researcher who captures urban strata and landscapes through an architectural lens. Based in Busan, South Korea—the nation’s representative port city—she investigates shifting cityscapes and the vestiges of time, visually exploring the intricate entanglement of space and memory.

Her practice extends beyond documenting a specific locality to pose universal questions about vanishing urban footprints and the resilience of communities amidst global modernization. Having been invited to the Busan Biennale twice (2012, 2022), her work has gained recognition for its depth and perspective. She currently serves as the co-representative of 'Beonwho', a publishing house dedicated to contemporary art and urban narratives, continuing her mission to document the "visual biography" of cities.
